The below download document is a significant report produced by Natural Resources Wales based on 2 years of work in the Rhondda valley looking at how to manage the areas’ natural resources and the opportunities and gaps for doing so.
Some of the research and consultation work has produced some staggering results and reflections, such as:
1 in 4 children in Wales never play outside and just under 90% of children find themselves disconnected from the natural world. Welsh children are the least connected to nature in the UK
This is a very useful document which highlights a greater need to support projects, organisations andĀ individuals who believe in protecting and utilising nature of the benefit of communities.
